Puerto Rico in crisis

With a promise “to reduce the size of government without laying off anyone,” was how Luis Fortuño won the elections for governor of Puerto Rico on November 5, 2008.

Not even a year later… adopted Public Law 7 and 17,000 government workers loose their jobs…

I feel a great indignation for what is happening right now in my country.

The past Thursday, October 15, 2009, took place a national strike to protest for the injustice being committed against our people.

I’m not sure how effective was to do a strike, but I can asssure that served for the people to unite and express their feelings.

For those who understand spanish… you have to see this video, of how our Governor is massacred ( figurative speaking hehe) by a Univision Reporter! Was fun to watch, but was painful to think that… that’s our governor… he suppose to be our guide… an he didn’t have concrete answers…

That’s why peolpe throw eggs to the governor!
